MISSION

With passion, invest in and empower unprivileged Women, Orphaned Children and poor youth to establish income generating activities, which enable them support their families with basic amenities of life.

VISION

Our vision is to see all Women, Orphaned Children and disadvantaged youth in Uganda self-sufficient; being free from the cycle of poverty.

Foundation for Children and Women in Development Initiative has the following objectives:

  1. To identify the nature and scope of target community problems and develop strategies to address existing problems.
  2. To equip women and youth with knowledge and skills that will enable them start income generating activities to provide basic necessities for themselves and their families.
  3. To provide seed funding to women and youth for income generation projects
  4. To increase the nutritional value of the family diet, and encourage self-sufficiency.
  5. Support national immunization campaigns and contribute to health systems strengthening in an efficient, equitable and sustainable manner to reduce child morbidity and mortality in the communities.
  6. To promote early recognition and effective treatment of malaria cases at all health care delivery facilities in the selected target areas.
  7. To equip women, youths and other vulnerable groups with knowledge on individual health to protect them against HIV/AIDS/STDs and provide comprehensive health care, psychosocial & social support to the victim’s families.
  8. To provide immediate support and counseling to abused/raped women, children, and youth so as to overcome trauma and prevent re-victimization of survivors.
  9. To disseminate information aiming at prevention of all forms of domestic violence and its consequences to create a safe environment for women, Children, and youth within the community.
  10. To facilitate safe sharing of experiences among the target groups of people and to find solutions on how to support their innovations.
  11. To maintain our already established safe house for vulnerable children, youth and women.
  12. To rehabilitate and encourage former prostitutes to live a more favorable lifestyle by equipping them with knowledge and skill to enable them start small business.
